Here is my A15 crank to be used with the Tomei head in a new A15
engine. The stock A15 crank above weighs 12.5 kg. My lightened crank comes
in at 8.5 kg's.
These cranks are available for $1500 with donor crank.

The
crank has been indexed and phase ground with oil galleries opened and
screw in plugs fitted to the webs for ease of cleaning. 4 kg was taken
from the counterweights and the crank was then dynamically balanced to 0.5
gm and sent for nitriding. The crank was straightened after heat treatment
to ensure it was perfectly straight.
Nitriding was chosen as the heat treatment method, as this provides a
thicker hardened skin giving a stiffer crank. Cost of the process and
straightening is significant. |

Modified for A series engines (with
supplied donor bluebird electronic distributor and an A series distributor drive gear)
These
distributors are fully electronic and with the right high energy coil
produce extremely hot plug voltages and current. Instant starts every time
for your A series when tuned correctly. A custom alloy
clamp bracket shown on both dissy's

Manufactured from ultra high tensile alloy
these retainers are for engines using either 7 or 8 mm stem valves. Light
retainers cuts down valve train inertia and reduces rocker loads allowing
lighter spring pressures at higher RPM. Each retainer is 9.25 grams lighter than
the stock retainer or about 40% of the mass of steel parts.
(Note spring ends
must be smoothed before fitting)

Alloy retainers for L series valve springs

This
L16 race head is for an engine running 1600cc capacity class. Head
has 44 inlets with 35 exhausts ( 214N stainless/Nitrided). Alloy
spring retainers and composite alloy/steel lash pads are used with matched
rate spring sets. Rocker arms have been extensively lightened also.

These
are something of interest we picked up for an L series engine. 133mm Cosworth L series rods.
Rod
is shown against L16 rod of same length. Weights are identical to stock rods. Caps
are located by dowel pins and 9.5mm aircraft grade bolts used.

times crank speed and Alternator 2.41 times crank speed.
This is similar to the stock 240/260 Z ratio.

L4 AND L6 HEADS
The
head is designed for improved breathing for all 2 litre and above 4
cylinder, also 2.8
litre and above L6 engines
. The heads has 47mm inlet valves and 38mm exhausts. The head requires an
88mm plus bore.
Each
head is
crack/pressure tested then ported and flow bench checked to ensure even
port flow.
New
seats and K-line valve guide inserts are fitted. Chamber volumes are
matched to 0.1 cc and chambers blended into seats. All head surfaces
are machined.
The
valve springs used are capable of being used with cams up to 0.560"
lift. The spring retainers have high sides for thicker lash pad retention.
