SOME MATES.

Ross
O'Rielly is a confirmed 1600 fan. This car was
built up from the wreckage of his earlier 510 that suffered a barrel roll at
high speed and landed on a large rock pushing the drivers side sill and floor up
into the cabin some 30cm.
Ross
decided to make a better rally car and started
preparation on a new shell for the 510 running gear. The cage was
fabricated by "Mick the Master" outside the shell. To fit the cage and
do the necessary trial fits the roof was removed. The
shell re-enforcing was completed and in the
next two weeks a mammoth effort by a lot of people brought this car
together.
The
work that took place is a credit to Ross's tenacity and workmanship. Also it
shows that he has a lot of mates who are very capable as well. These mates helped
out enormously. This
section will be built up as time permits, giving some more detail of
modifications to the shell and driveline.
